Graduate at Física from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1985), master’s at Physic from Instituto de Física Gleb Wataghin (1989) and Ph.D. at Electric Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia Elétrica e de Computação (1996) – UNICAMP. Has experience in Physic, focusing on Optics, acting on the following subjects: Amplificadores ópticos (Raman, SOA and EDFAs), plasmon effect and fiber sensing, nonlinearities in optical fibers, devices for WDM networks and high capacity optical systems.
